First Fridays Mental Health Open Mic

This free event is a space to share your poetry, music, dance, etc. that in some way relates to your mental health. Sharing in creative expression is essential to our healing.

NCTP is a secular, inclusive, and affirming space. All feelings are welcome here. We request that you share honestly, with regard for others. No prior experience necessary and all are welcome to attend.

First Friday of each month at the NCTP Office (346 21st Ave N). Open Mic at 7pm and Mental Health themed trivia at 7:45pm. Performers sign up beginning at 6:45pm. No RSVP necessary.


Adult DBT Group

The DBT Skills Group will meet weekly for a one hour session. This psychoeducational group is open to individuals ages 16+ who would like to learn about skills such as distress tolerance, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.

Trauma Processing

This group will include writing prompts and times for sharing, offering support, and receiving feedback. This is an open adult processing group for individuals age 18+. This group is ideal for those already working with an individual therapist.

Teen Group Therapy

Teen girls' group will be a safe space to learn, grow, and connect. This group is for all cis and trans girls, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of teen girls.

Yoga Therapy

This group is focused on Ayurvedic / Yogic tools for mental health management linked to Somatic / Movement based therapy. We will set an intention at the beginning of our session, take some time to tune into ourselves through intentional self care, and spend some time debriefing and processing at the end of the session.
