Dr. Joe Rustum

Doctor of Psychology

Have you been feeling overwhelmed, ashamed, frustrated, or “stuck” in life? You might feel betrayed by those you love, hopeless about the future, or unsure of how to move forward. You may have tried therapy before to no avail and feel skeptical trying again. I am interested in hearing your story and want to help you create meaningful change so that you can live a more fulfilling life.

I value creating a strong relationship with my clients that respects their values, preferences, personality, and worldview. My goal is to help you increase self-awareness and learn how to overcome obstacles. I will help you learn how to manage emotional burdens and will support you through the process of healing and feeling whole. Therapy will help you take responsibility for your decisions and help you to live a more meaningful life. I will give you the space needed to talk and reflect on how your past experiences could be contributing to your current concerns. I will walk alongside you and support you through your journey.

I especially enjoy working with young adults, survivors of spiritual trauma, and those who have had previous unsuccessful experiences in therapy. I also have experience treating a wide variety of concerns that include depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, perfectionism, OCD, eating disorders, existential concerns, complicated family dynamics, anger, and addictions.

I have experience working with adults, families, couples, teenagers, and children. I have worked in a variety of settings that include community mental health, inpatient hospital, university counseling centers, and outpatient counseling centers. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in the best way that I can. Schedule an in person or telehealth session today.
