Lydia Lomahan | she / her / hers
You’ve spent your life caring for others, upholding expectations, or surviving the silent pain of grief and trauma, and you often feel deeply unseen. You’re the emotional backbone in your relationships. You hold space, stay strong, and show up, even when you’re overwhelmed, grieving, or exhausted. Even if you have people around you, the true support you need has often felt out of reach. Your story longs to be witnessed.
Whether you’re caring for a loved one with dementia, navigating the invisible layers of trauma and grief, or simply feeling worn down from being the “strong one” for too long, this is where you can finally be supported. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, sit with life’s hardest questions, and find refuge from life’s overwhelming moments.
Together, we’ll embrace the full spectrum of what it means to be human. We’ll explore your story, the roles you’ve carried, and what it means to reconnect with your own needs and identity. My approach integrates Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, and EMDR to help process grief and trauma. I honor the quiet pain that often goes unseen. Therapy with me is slow, gentle, spacious, and intentionally designed to offer relief from the emotional weight you’ve been carrying.
Outside of the therapy room, I love reading, puzzles, trying new restaurants, baking, and going on long outdoor walks with my partner and dogs. You can usually find me with a cup of tea or coffee nearby. I’m excited to support you as we navigate life’s complexities with care, honesty, and collaboration. Let’s discover who you truly are, not just who you’ve had to be.
