Bipolar disorder

Bipolar I and Bipolar II

There are different types of bipolar and related disorders. Bipolar I is at least one manic episode (at least one week, elated or irritable) and a major depressive episode. BPI is cyclical and strongly hereditary. There is a change of polarity in mood. Bipolar II is at least one hypomanic episode (similar to manic, but briefer and less severe) and a major depressive episode. BPII has high rates of cycling.  No matter what you are dealing with Bipolar can be a very isolating and scary diagnosis.

Those with Bipolar may experience:

  • Over spending

  • Impulsivity

  • Wreckless behavior

  • Hypersexuality

  • Increased Energy

  • Rapid Speech

  • Depression

  • Fatigue
